SMARTGRIP GRAVITY COMPOUND

The SmartGRIP Gravity Compound is the racing-ready option of the Scorpion™ MTB range, a formulation derived from decades of motocross know-how and the feedback of former downhill World Champions. Softer compound, tear resistant, better grip in any weather condition, high stability and control at high speed, single-compound formulation. SmartGRIP Gravity is the answer for riders in search of a reliable tyre for any kind of single track, whether training or racing, thanks to its constant performance in different conditions and over time.

HYPERWALL CASING

The HyperWALL is an e-MTB specific casing that enhances handling and puncture protection at low inflation pressure, key features of an off-road tyre dedicated to gravity and e-MTB. Directly derived from Pirelli's Motocross experience, it features a thick rubber insert tightly connected to the bead with a layer of fabric which increases the stability of the bead (+10%) and protects the tyre from pinch flats by 50%. The result is a level of stability and solidity comparable with downhill-specific tyres without their typical weight, capable of handling the torque and weight loads of modern e-bikes.

Scorpion™ E-MTB M HyperWALL Size 29 x 2.6 / Weight 1270gm / TPI 60 / Casing HyperWALL / Compound SmartGRIP Gravity

Scorpion™ E-MTB M HyperWALL Size 27.5 x 2.6 / Weight 1200gm / TPI 60 / Casing HyperWALL / Compound SmartGRIP Gravity

Our most aggressive model dedicated to e-bikes: made for those who seek fun and performance without compromise. The tall profile and widely spaced tread pattern cuts into and grips any kind of loose or soft terrain. The Scorpion™ E-MTB S is the best choice for any single track with soft terrain where grip and reliability are the key factors, on the e-MTB specific HyperWALL casing.

Decades of victories in Motocross and Rally competitions around the world led our engineers to the development of a new innovative rubber formulation: the SmartGRIP Compound for the Scorpion™ MTB, which blends together opposite features: tear resistance for maximum mechanical grip on dry and wet surfaces together with maximum resistance against punctures, and chemical grip on wet terrain for unconditional riding in any kind of weather. The SmartGRIP Compound is the result of an extensive process of research and development that led us to absolute performance in both dry and wet conditions. We chose a single-compound formulation to achieve the most consistent performance throughout the entire lifespan of the tyre, even when the knobs start to wear.
